  • Orange County & LA County

Both counties served, from design through install.

  • Bonded and insured

Professional coverage in place before anyone sets foot on your property.

  • Homes that come back

Most of the homes we light in December, we light again the next.

  • Everything handled

Design, install, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage.

What we do

Three services, one standard.

We keep the offering narrow on purpose. Everything below is work we do ourselves, to the same standard — residential, and commercial when a property calls for it.

Christmas Light Installation

Roofline lighting planned for your home, then installed and looked after all season.

Included in every installation

  • Design. We plan placement and coverage for your facade specifically — the planning is the design.
  • Installation. We handle the entire install, start to finish. You never touch a ladder or a strand.
  • In-season maintenance. Outages, weather and timers are handled through the season at no extra cost.
  • Removal & storage. Removal is included in the price, and we store your materials between seasons.

Commercial Lighting

Holiday lighting for HOAs, shopping centers, municipal and city clients, and other commercial or institutional properties — scaled with outsourced crews when a job calls for it.

Learn about Commercial

Every home is different, so every home gets its own quote. Commercial and large-scale work is scoped separately — see our commercial lighting page for details.

How it works

Four steps, and we handle all of them.

  1. Tell us about your home

Send your address and a sense of what you have in mind. We design for the specific facade, so the property matters more than a package name.

  2. We design the lighting

We plan placement, coverage and rooflines for your home, then put together a design and a quote sized to it — elegant and restrained.

  3. We install it

We handle the whole install. You never touch a ladder, a strand or a timer.

  4. We look after it, then take it down

Outages and weather are handled through the season at no extra cost. After the holidays we remove everything and store your materials, then reach out each August to schedule the next season.

Why Coastline Lights

The details that hold up all season.

Designed for your home

Placement and coverage are planned for your architecture. That is the difference between lighting that flatters a house and lighting that simply covers it.

Restraint over coverage

We do not mix bulb temperatures, and we do not fill every surface just because there is room for another strand. The goal is a display that looks considered, in daylight and at night.

Maintained through the season

A display should look as good in late December as it did the day it went up. In-season maintenance is included, never billed as an add-on.

Nothing left for you to store

Removal is part of the price, and we keep your materials between seasons, so nothing ends up in your garage.

Where we work

Questions

Straight answers.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Orange County and Los Angeles County.

What does installation cost?

Every home is different, so every home gets its own quote. Tell us about yours and we’ll take it from there.

Do you handle removal?

Yes. Removal is included in the installation price, not billed separately — and we store your materials between seasons, so there is nothing for you to manage or find space for.

What does the lighting look like?

That depends on the house. We plan placement and coverage for your specific rooflines and architecture, so the finished look follows your home instead of a template.

Are you insured?

Yes. Coastline Lights is bonded and insured, with coverage in place before anyone sets foot on your property.

Who does the installation?

Our crew of four installers handles every job, with subcontracted crews brought in for larger properties or overflow demand.

What happens if a bulb goes out or the weather causes a problem partway through the season?

That is covered. In-season maintenance is included at no extra cost, so outages, weather issues and timer problems are ours to handle for the rest of the season.

When should I request installation if this is my first season with you?

Whenever you decide you want lights this year. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you will have with scheduling — crew time in a seasonal business is limited, and dates fill as the season approaches.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

No. We handle the entire install, start to finish — if you are out for the day, the lights are simply up when you get home.

Do you offer anything besides residential Christmas lights?

Yes — we also install bistro and string lighting for patios and outdoor spaces, and we take on commercial lighting work for HOAs, shopping centers, municipal clients and other commercial properties.

Do I have to rebook every year?

No. Most of our customers return each season, and we handle the rescheduling — each August we reach out to arrange your preferred install day and time.
